We are very pleased to announce that the barrel sample of our 2007 Saralee's Vineyard Pinot Noir received 93 points from Doug Wilder of Vinfolio at Pinot Days. The highest rated wine received 95 points. We were also recognized as one of the "Best of the New Crop" wineries.
We'd like to thank everyone who visited us at Pinot Days in San Francisco on June 29. It was an outstanding event. By our estimation, we poured several hundred tastes throughout the day. We'll announce our next event shortly.
We anticipate releasing the first wines of our 2007 vintage in August 2008, beginning with our white and rosé wines. We produce wines in very small quantities. Sign up for an allocation.
Coterie Cellars is one of the smallest wineries in California. We produce wines made by hand, berry to bottle, from single vineyards and specific blocks within those vineyards. Our philosophy is to work with small, exemplary growers that we know personally, to understand the unique characteristics that each vineyard offers, and to respect those characteristics through gentle winemaking in order to produce the most flavorful and evocative wines for each site. We view smallness as a virtue.
We release our wines twice per year, generally once in late spring and again in early winter. Because we produce very limited quantities, we maintain an allocation list for each wine prior to release. Wines that have not been allocated will be made available after the release date.
